An environmentally friendly toothbrush for £2.95*.  I could not resist trying one.  We are all too aware of the dangers of plastic waste to the environment and I am keen to ensure my family what we can to reduce plastic use.  This manual toothbrush is made from sustainable and biodegradable bamboo.  It comes in an adult and child size and as I have sensitive gums, I bought the medium bristle adult brush.

I really want to love this toothbrush, I know converting to a bamboo toothbrush is much better than using my plastic electric toothbrush but I’m not sure I will be able to use it all the time. For me, it is too rigid and feels like I’m holding an ice lolly stick.  I think because the handling is not as good, I am not brushing my teeth as well with it.  I feel very selfish but I am not sure I can use the environmental toothbrush several times a day.  May be I will have it as my travel toothbrush as it is lightweight and much smaller than my electric toothbrush and you don’t need to worry about charging it or having replacement batteries.

If you do get on well with this toothbrush, it is also available for sale in The environmental bamboo toothbrush multi pack – where you can buy a pack of 12 for £22.38*.  This may be a cost effective way to provide toothbrushes for the whole family and replace them every 3 months or so.
