This review is based on feedback from a review group of Mum’s who have all tried and tested the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Electric Toothbrush.  Some of them had one themselves, others shared it with their family and just change the heads for different users.  There are four different modes and three different intensities so you can see why the mums liked it for whole-family use.  The battery lasts at least 14 days from the last charge, so if someone forgets to plug it in after use, no problem.  You can also take it away for a 2 week holiday and it should be fine.  Philips claim that it removes up to 10 times more plaque than brushing with a standard toothbrush.  It’s recently been updated with an optional smart app which gives you progress and guidance to improve your brushing habits – great for the tech-lovers in the household.

All sounds brilliant but you’ve just got to swallow the cost (not the toothpaste).

What they loved:

* The Philips battery  – in their opinion it lasts much longer than previous Oral B toothbrushes they had tried.

*The Amazing travel case which you can charge the toothbrush through.

*You can also charge this toothbrush with a regular charger.

*The deep clean feel after using this electric toothbrush

*That it is easy to use

What they weren’t so keen on:

*The price – although 1 of the reviewers did say she had managed to purchase hers in the sale and another felt it was worth buying one and sharing with the rest of the family rather than downgrading to a cheaper model.  You can easily buy extra heads for each person, so that’s definitely one way of keeping the costs down and having a very reliable toothbrush.

It’s supposed to retail for £569.99 according to Amazon but is currently massively reduced.

Overall, they loved it!  The entire group would recommend this electric toothbrush for the whole family.  It does come in different colours:  black/ black, black with rose gold and white (featured here).
